Never mind, I "fixed" it. The hood release lever wasn't retracing all the way after you unlock the hood. The clear/thin plastic coating was binding up where it comes out of the black sleeve. It was all bunched up. I just cut away the part that was bound up and now it seems to work smoothly and properly.

Subject: Urgent Help Needed: Hood Latch Adjustment

Patient is a 1987 Coupe GT. The cable that runs between the drivers side latch and the passenger side latch is SO tight that the drivers side won't lock down. How can I adjust it? I noticed a little hex shaped bolt on the part that connects to the passenger side latch, but was afraid to touch it (worried I might mess up that side and have NO latch). PLEASE SEND HELP! :)
