Hi Brett, you said:

Completely unlike our pause in Hayes KS as we travelled to the first
Pike's Peak gathering:
We had stopped for some lunch after an invigorating series of top speed
passes through our own convoy, led by Dave Head equipped with a
Valentine One and all spread out and connected by CB.
We were lined up en'masse on the Arby's parking lot, mostly nose out.
(Much more to this story some will recall, right down to swimming in
anti-freeze). A couple of mini-vans of high school cheerleaders pulled
up and emptied onto the sidewalk.
The exclamation was heard:
"...Wow, who's that, it must be the Olympic Committee...."
And we look back at the Arby's to see twenty noses pressed against the
glass, looking out in awe and amazement.... --G.
