Cruise Control not working

The cruise control in my 89 100 Quattro stopped working. The speedometer wa=
s broken andthe cruise didn't work when it was broken, but once the speedom=
eter was fixed it worked again. The speedometer is still working but the cr=
uise stopped working now. Any ideas/suggestions?
