Used Injectors?

Steve, why not check your current the injectors, first?

The procedure can be dangerous (careful!) and some steps might be missing!

+Pull one by one out of the head and place/aim it into a deep bucket,
+turn the ignition on (don't start the engine!) and
+slowly lift the air mass flow sensor plate (located under the big black rubber snorkel piece).

You can use a long Allen (sp?) key used to adjust the sensor by inserting it into adjustment
hole located between the fuel distributor lines and the round part of the rubber snorkel on the
 filter/air mass sensor box. The trick is to insert the tool and to lift the plate without turning
the adjuster screw!

You should be able to determine which injectors are bad by looking at the spray pattern.
After attaching the "new" injectors repeat the test to prevent installation of bad performers.

I don't know if your engine has seals around its injectors, ... I have heard that they can
deteriorate, which usually results in all kinds of performance problems.
