hey there..
<<Any BTDT on this cars suspension would be some help. I am annoyed by the
clunking and rattling sounds made by the front end.. I want to end them!!!
>>
i had similar clunks and rattles in mine when i got it. 3 control arms more
or less solved it. the front end is a little wiggly, but not bad enuff to
deal with.
<< I am sure I will need to change bushings, but which ones are most
commonly changed on this car.. and with what?? delrin?? OE rubber?? any
recommendations.. >>
i considered the delrin, and was talked out of it by 2bennett as it is a
daily driven street car with no glorious future plans [aka turbo]. made a
big difference. maybe in the sway bars ill do delrin, but new rubber is much
better then old rubber.
<<Shocks and struts on all 4 corners are good.. I just hate the loose feel
and clunks and rattles as I go over not so smooth roads or speed bumps.>>
ken at 2b made a sound argument for coils on this car. there arent any
great aftermarkey options for springs - eibachs arent uprated, just lower,
h+rs are SO stiff [had em on my 5k] and will lower this car 1.5". on the 5k
that was fine, it was hummer-high stock. the 90 starts out a little low,
dropping it 1.5" is a LOT, esp if it will see any snow duty. given the 9
hours or so that a shop will charge you to do shox + springs, i think its
worth spending the extra few hundred dollars on the good stuff. if i do
anythign to mine ill do the coils.
2b does have a spax kit that they say works great, and is pretty cheap at
550 or so for all. if youre doin it yourself thats pretty budget.
good luck,
jim
