IC fuel warning problem ?

Hi,
I have taken the IC out a few times to stop the warning brake from coming on
when going over bumps, by re-seatting the connector in the back.
After this IC removal, the Fuel empty warning comes on when the analogue guage
says 1/4 full (brake warning fixed). I have tried refilling the gas tank, but
the warning still comes on at 1/4 - which was probably the level when I did the
IC removal ?

Is the problem with the IC ? Is there a reset button for the fuel digital
warning ?
