If the price is very good and you don't mind making the trip, go look at it.
Keep in mind that you were told that it was rolled. Many dishonest sellers
won't tell you. I have seen some very light rolls in soft deep snow that
did much less damage than a moderate collision. If serious about the
purchase, plan to take it to a body shop for an inspection and measurements,
they know what to look for. I do not care for the V6's mostly due to the
fact that I am familiar with the I5.
I bought my 4kq as a rebuilt total with ~150k on it 7yrs ago and have had no
problems due to the prior accident. The car is now ~300k and in need of
it's first significant work (clutch). I have also owned a repaired rolled
car and would again, the biggest things are how bad was it (any pic's) and
who fixed it. Also make sure the price represents what it is, don't pay as
much as a perfect one. There is a recent infusion of people here that are
doing incredibly poor work on rebuilding totals, often most of the parts
that get replaced are stolen, and selling them to unsuspecting buyers. So it
can go both ways.
