Combination switch?

My car is a '90 100. The symptoms are these. When I switch from low beam to
high beam, it frequently takes several tries. Often, I just lose my
headlights. At night, when the dash lights are on, when I switch on a
directional, both green arrows flash, the high beam light flashes and other
things happen from time to time. Is this just the combination switch? Or, do
I have two concurrent problems?
