As far as I have been able to tell, all the five cyl Audi starters are
the same.  But I could be horribly wrong... it's happened before... bu
those two cars should even have the same engine, so I'd just do it, if I
were you.

the only real difference is that some of the earlier ones lack the
solenoid switched "power feedback" terminal, which appears long before
either of the cars you mention.
