Please, anyone who answers, be sure to respond to the list (or at least CC
me) if you respond, as I'm going to be going through the same process soon.
I'd figured on doing the initial replacement myself, pulling the old
manifold, putting in the new one, fitting a temporary slip-joint on the
downpipe and having a shop do the final work. I've poked around under the
hood and figured what the heck, it CAN'T be all that much harder than the
starter on my 356 (what I'm about to go dink with in a few minutes), if only
because you can get to it from the top.
If I'm really, really wrong... please let me know and I'll budget money
instead of time for this.
(And Nate -- from your other message, it sounds like you're fairly local.
Maybe we should pool our resources and tackle these two projects together?
We'll go over to my friend Jeff's shop, where there's lots of room...)
