Oooh -- thanks for the reminder, Gary.  I got lucky, the stock '83 is a
non-interference, so the belt went back on, no harm no foul.

Still, bent valves should be a lot easier to fix than, say, a holed piston.
I still say let's hope it's something easy...

Isn't the turbo motor an interference motor? Might be trouble if so....
