well one thing that everyone is overlooking is that those #'s were published by VW and not an independant test. Car magazines tend to push the cars a lot harder and typically get much better performance #'s
VW claims the new GTI GLX with the 200 hp VR6 does 7.7 seconds 0-60 road and track tested on and it did 7.2
also just as a  side note the beetle turbo S does 0-60 in 6.7 seconds according to car and driver so lets see add all wheel drive and 60 extra hp and only go .2 of a second faster to 60?
I am going to wait till someone actually tests one of these before I pass judgement
