are 1986/87 5ktq brakes really different from other years?

I'll repeat this one more time-
When I swapped brakes, I replaced rubber brake lines,
rotors, pads and calipers. Unbolt the G54s, remove them
after retracting the pads, remove the rotor, unscrew the
line from the caliper, installation is reverse of removal.

You can't have a different offset rotor, that would require
a different placement of the caliper itself. You need to
visualize what I'm talking about and it will become crystal
clear.

I don't know what others have done- this is what I did and
it worked perfectly. Type 85 and 89 cars are irrelevant to
this topic.
