Low pressure Service fitting on a CGT?

That's what I was afraid of. Yesterday, I was having one HECK of a time getting the gauge connected. It never locked into place. It did make a somewhat leaky connection but didn't lock. I looked at the gauge and it read 100! Of course that was with the engine off with the engine fully warmed up and ambient temps around 100 with high humidity, I don't know what effect that would have. Any tips on getting the hose connected? It's pretty tight in that area... Also, I assume that even with those really high temps, the low side shouldn't be over 50, right? 25-40 would be better, right? Anybody have a good site that lists what the pressures for R134a should be at different temps?
TIA,
Dave

> As you know I had my system converted to R134a. I want to check the pressures, as I have a feeling it might be overfilled and also want to add some Quickboost. Where is the low pressure service port? Is it the one that's in front on the passenger side close to the compressor or the one in front on the drivers side coming off near the receiver/dryer? TIA!
