Audi and their lawyers are chasing down people who host/sell this
software...why???
Sure it is their software, but let's be real here.
The only people that it's use was ever intended were for were dealers.
Great. Now there are cracked versions of it available.
Does that mean dealers are gonna stop buying it and get pirated versions?
No, not in the slightest.
Did Audi or Lexcom et. al ever open their software up for public sale? No.
Why? Because they are stupid if you ask me.
They stand to lose NOTHING. The people that want it bad are people like us.
And why? It's not for top secret information, or to be used in replace of a
repair manual, but rather to aid us in ordering the correct part. I mean
for the love of god, how many times have people ordered a part only to find
out it was the wrong one.
If Audi would just open their eyes and realize they could easily make money
off selling copies of ETKA legit, I'm sure they stand to increase revenues
and margins quite a bit.
Just imagine everyone being able to look up accurate part info, relay that
info to dealers, help eliminate time figuring out what it is the customer
wants on the phone, re-ordering parts that were ordered wrong etc.
It's a win win situation all around.
But no....this is another instance of the proverbial head up the butt
syndrome.
I have this post full of ETKA in hopes their dumb lawyers, CEO, etc reads
this. Hello make some legit money here! I'd be #1 on the list to purchase
ETKA!
