manual window regulators for front of 4kq?

Has anyone installed manual window regulators in the front doors of a 4kq?
Our "new" rallycross car, an 1984 4kq, has manual window regulators in the
rear doors and no window regulators in the front doors.  Yes, you heard
right; the front window regs. probably died and were removed by one of the
previous owners.

The parts CD shows parts 813 837 399D/400D (left/right) as manual window
regulators on the 1978-79 4 door Audi Fox.  There just happens to be one of
those cars in a local wrecking yard.

Has anyone done this swap or is familiar with BOTH cars?  Any manual
regulator swap info. is appreciated.

BTW, I have manual window regulators for the urq (out of a '82 coupe), but
haven't bit the bullet and installed them into our '82 urq.  Like the 4kq,
I'd like to get rid of all that extra electrical stuff and weight.  Non-use
is hard on electrical components, like motors, switches, relays, etc.
