Any "gotchas" in bleeding type 44 brakes?

Hi Rob,

I know you're dealing with a no-start problem right now (sounds similar to the recent one with the motor
spinning all fast, list folks), but it sounds like you are describing a bomb that is going out.

Have you done the bomb test on this car yet? You should get a certain number of "soft" (assisted) pedal
pumps after shutting down the motor. If it gets hard, that's unassisted braking. It being intermittent like
that seems to indicate it as well.

The car being an '86, even with the low mileage, would make it a candidate for bomb replacement. Or
recharging, as I imagine you might be interested in.

Hope you get the starting thing resolved. (we can expect a post I think, just heard that the motor spins
really freely when cranked)

As far as bleeding, I think there are no gotchas. But you might as well do the bomb test, and then
replace it since it requires opening the system anyhow (I believe).

Later,

Ken
