Warbling water pump??

I seem to recall this issue in posts from a few years back.. I get a
warbling sound at just above idle from the front of the motor and I'm
guessing its the water pump on my 87 4KQ. Archive posts point either to a
poor quality pump or too much tension on the timing belt. It has generally
made this noise since I aquired the car with 108K on the odo. Timing belt,
water pump and idler pulley were replaced at 120K mi, still makes the same
noise now at 130K mi.

Has found either the pump or t-belt tension to the cause of the problem?
I've checked the other belts and I'm pretty sure they are not the cause of
the problem.
