FW: Any BTDT's on Rebuilding 5ktqcs Front End?

I don't know about rebuilding the CV's.... you can buy the whole axle shaft
with rebuilt inner and outer CV's already installed for just over $100
Canadian. (that's like about 25 cents for you guys in the states)
Would it really be cheaper to have them rebuilt by your local guy?
I am in the same boat as you with regards to the rubber bits and yes
subframe bushings do wear out big time. mine look terrible. I am gradually
accumulating parts to completely redo the front end and should get around to
it before the end of summer. (axles have already been replaced by me because
the outer CV's disintegrated due to my own neglect). Don't forget engine
and tranny mounts.
I could suggest some places to buy the stuff but they would be in Canada,
which really would not make a lot of sense for you to buy from, eh?
