Optima Battery in Type 44 under seat?

I am using an optima yellow  top under my seat, and have used a redtop in
the past, you have to put it on its side to make it fit, but, thats one of
the selling points of an optima right? being able to mount it at any angle.
btw, this is in an 86 5kcstq
