Ben,
I had a similar experiance with my 87 4kq and it turned out to be that one
of the wires going to the ignition coil had come loose. The wire went to the
other terminal on the fuel pump relay. I don;t have the Bently's here to let
you know the exact one but someone else might know which wire it is. After
thorough examination of the wiring diagram in my Bentley's I check the wire
and it had come loose.
Just a thought.
