Funny thing about some rubber sealants:
I used silicone sealant on an intake boot on my GTI and within about
a week the (two month old) O2 sensor was dead.  I've since been
told that you absolutely have to wait for the silicone to _completely_
cure before driving the car or it'll kill the O2 sensor.
