Optima Battery in Type 44 under seat?

I am using one in my 87 5KTQ. it is the red top one. to make it fit under the seat you have to put it on its side (which is not a problem, its been like that for over 5 years now) you will have to come up with a new strap to secure it to the car.

Anyone using an Optima Battery under the rear seat in a Type 44? If
so, what model battery are you using. I have a 1990 200 TQ 10V in
need of a battery and wonder if this is an alternative to a standard
battery.
