Glad to hear about your Audi, sorry about your friend's injuries. I don't
have much insight in that, except that you should be able to get a personal
injury lawyer in IL who would work on a contingency (read: no settlement, no
pay)

However, I am curious - why are you looking at 5wt, and 10wt oil?

My V8, as well as my wife's A6 both take 15wt or 20wt oil. Recommended for
our climate is anything between 15W40 and 20W50. Have you looked at your
owner's manual lately? You *could* be using a bit less oil than you did, if
you are able to run the heavier weight...
