Perhaps fabricating some type of frame that would seal against the rest of the housing, then having just a
regular piece of flat lexan or similar material be the lens. Rather than having to form the lens material into
a non-flat shape (everytime it needed replacing).
Perhaps a mold could be taken of the existing glass lens, to get the shape to mate with the housing.
Then work on the "new lens" interface.
I'm way behind on being able to do anything more than just ponder these types of things.
Or, how about some sort of clear epoxy that could be used to fill in the inside of the existing bumpy lens,
and make the inside surface perfectly flat? I believe the outside surface is flat already. Perhaps that's a
possiblity. Or, sandwich something that's already flat and some clear stuff?
