And one thing that no one's mentioned, if the brakes dont work, you have
the parking brake! It is supposed to be mechanical so you can use it to
stop in case the hydraulics fail. Not only that, in the modern cars that
have brake by wire and throttle by wire, what to do when the electrics
fail at 80 mph? Aha, the parking brake! And Mercedes just stated that
they are working on steering by wire for the next S-class. The ECE board
was not very happy to hear about this, but then Mercedes replyed: If a
747 can have steering by wire, why cant our cars?
