Audifans,
This is so weird. Last night, I started the car to go home and the car
ran on 4 cylinders. After about 100 meters, the 5th started running as
well. I thought nothin of it and drove home without noticing anything.
Today I was going a quick errand, drove about 5 minutes, all was good,
and had the car parked for about 10-15 minutes. When I started it again,
it only ran on 4 cylinders again. I got home, let the car cool off and
checked the plugs, rotor and cap. All looked fine, no signs of unburnt
fuel on any of the plugs. Rotor and cap is almost brand new (only 2000
kms on them, original Audi parts). The only thing I know right now is
tham I'm pretty low on fuel, but could a low fuel level cause the CIS to
act up? I just dont know where to look next, as all the cars I've had
with FI has never had any problems. I'm going to fill her up right now,
so we'll see what happens.
The engine in my car is a 2.2 136 hp, code KV, the meter has 103.000 kms.
