Challenge! (was RE: labor?)

According to a  fellow lister, you should be able to R&R the expansion valv=
e in about 1/2 hour and access it completely by removing the glove box. I j=
ust talked to my idiot mechanic and he is calling BS. He says you have to d=
rop the evaporator down from above to gain access to the return line where =
the equalizing valve plugs in. He thinks that there may be 2 designs for th=
e expansion valve (one with single capillary tube and another with 2 like m=
ine). He says that the Motors book calls for 3.3 hours to R&R the expansion=
 valve. He has issued a CHALLENGE to anybody willing to do it. He will pay =
2x the labor the book calls for to ANYBODY who can R&R the expansion valve =
in less than 45 minutes in front of him. Frankly, I KNOW this guy is full o=
f shit and I'd love to bust him at this point. So, I'm forwarding this chal=
lenge to anybody willing to try. So, anybody up for the challenge and possi=
ble earn over $300? Can anybody PROVE him wrong with documentation?

It took me all of 30 minutes to R&R my expansion valve in my 4000. Not incl=
uding refilling the system. All you have to do is remove the glove box and =
the under panel and there it is staring you in the face.
