Got to put a plug in for VAGCOM here. http://ross-tech.com/vag-com. 199.00
gets you a cable and software (for a laptop or PC). Gives you trouble
codes, real-time data logging and the ability to re-program certain
features. Awesome product, well worth twice the price.

Subject: OBD II scanner

A little off topic but does anyone have an OBD II scanner. I wanted to
limit what I spent to 6-700 dolllars. $2000 seems to be the going rate
for the type an independent garage would use. I don't want a database
in the scanner I just want to read all the trouble codes and some real
time display.

Actron has one for $200. Does it do anything useful?
