Hi Zsolt,
As long as the hot side input and exit flanges and bolt holes are the same
as the K26 you should be able to use it.
You'll very likely need to modify your cold side plumbing with any non-K26
cold side turbo, but this in not a big deal as it is rubber hoses.
Now, I have no idea what an RS2 race unit is, but it sounds from the name
like it is more bigger than a normal RS2, and is intended to be run in the
power band for a race engine, which may be at higher rpm and flow than your
engine will go.
A normal, whatever that is, RS2 turbo is a good compromise between high rpm
performance and low rpm drivability. This makes for an acceptable every day
driver that also has some serious grunt with minimal turbo lag.
A turbo that is designed for "race" is unlikely to have good performance at
the low end, and is likely to have quite a bit of turbo lag as you spool it
up. It will behave more like a K26/K27 hybrid. Also, unless you have an
engine that flows as much air as the race turbo is designed for, you may not
ever realize the benefit of such a turbo. There is such a thing as too much
turbo :-)
