I too purchased a shirt, and though not wearing it the last 2 days, have been
the recipient of Audi good fortune.
We acquired a 98 A6 2 months ago with 64k miles, knowing full well it would
need the T-belt etc. done soon (that was part of the price reduction). Well,
Wednesday I took it in to a trusted Audi wrench, and he shows me when I pick
it up last night how close we were to a trashed water pump/motor. The pump
had started to leak and had clear signs of sporadically slipping on the belt.
Meaning the bearing was well on its way south.
