That smell

What I did in my 4000 when it started to smell like dust was to put one
of those glade gel pouches in my vent. I guess it's kind of specific
because the center vents on 4000's are useless for anything else, and the
dust smell was coming from my vents when I turned my fan on and it was the
source of the offending odor anyway. I used the thing that you use to
refill your Glade home air freshener. There's one that has gel in it and
two halves that you're supposed to take the foil off. I took the foil off
of one side and stuck that inside the vent then closed the vent on it. I
did all this after I took the grill on the vent off, then I put the grill
back on after. Now every time I want the car to smell good I turn on the
fan and open the side vents. You just have to remember to never open the
center vent. For the first month or so it was a little strong so make sure
you get one that you can tolerate for a while. The usual disclaimers apply
with respect to my connection to Glade. I'm just mad they don't make
vanilla anymore.
