Symptoms of too much refrigerant

I had my '91 CQ's AC converted to 134a and the car is cooling pretty well.

However, the compressor is kicking in pretty hard when it comes on, harder
than usual, which is making a me a bit uneasy.

Analyzing my receipt, they put in 2.7 lbs of 134a. This is too much. The
conversion TSB states 26.5ozs.

What're the symptoms of too much refrigerant?  Is the compressor kicking in
too hard consistent with too much refrigerant? And, what should I do now?
