16 valve Motors?

Hello;

I am searching for information on motors Audi  possibly used in  car models
over the past 20 years.

Did Audi ever install a 16 valve  4 cylinder 2.0 liter  motor in any chassis
sold in the world?  I have seen little evidence to indicate that a 16 valve
motor was ever sold in an Audi in North America.

Does anyone have any details on the Audi 2.0 liter  4 cylinder motors and
how they differ from the units used in  VW chassis?
