'82 Coupe final drive leakage?

I have an '82 coupe that is in amazing condition and only has 51k mile. Had it for about five years.

But the problem is that lately, after I do any hard driving, there seems to be quite a bit of oil leakage from the final drive. Has anyone had this problem?

Also, can anyone verify that the plug to fill the final drive requires a 17mm allen wrench to remove?
