You know, interesting to note in this conversation wrt flywheel weight, in the recent (this month) EC article about lightened flywheels, they found that the difference was dramatic in first gear with a 7lb lighter flywheel, a 14% increase in useable power, in 2nd gear it dropped to abut 3%, by 3rd gear there was no change, and eihter in 4 or 5th.
So, if this is universally true, Scott's argument is only valid in 1st gear at best, by 2nd and 3rd gear, flywheel weights are negligible to acceleration times regardless.
