Coupe GT Coolant Temp Sender/Sensor

Please confirm on your car, but must be: part # 049919501B

It is the one on the top of the flange connected to the top of the radiator
hose. If you remove the connector/boot you should see 2 contacts and the
sensor should be white.

Bimmerparts.com(no relation, just a satisfied customer) has it for something
like $18.(just type the part number).
