you all may remember that i lost me 5000tq to the headgasket demons.. but i
pur-chased me an 88 90q [sport, i think] last night.
its in GREAT shape. not a dent or mark on the whole car, great pearl paint,
almost perfect black interior, everything works.. bought it from an intel
engineer who was moving back to israel monday. inch thick folder full of
receipts, p.o. bought from a coworker who was the 2nd owner + they still
work together, so its history was known for past 9 years. just had a tbelt,
h20 pump, tensioners and all aux belts. and it went with a bentley! he had
it up for 2500 on yahoo w/ no pic, noone even looked at it. i picked it up
for an even 2 grand.
it does feel like its gonna need some $$ in suspension, it rode pretty
harsh, but it felt like bushing/bearing, maybe motor/trans mounts. it had a
very slight pull on stopping, prob needs some tie/nut/ball/rod stuff. all
the cv's seem good, no clicks, clutch felt great, brakes are tight and true.
diff lock works, abs works, seat heaters work [most importantly =] steering
had some slight moans + groans, but whatre you gonna do. p.o. claimed it
uses/leaks no oil between 3k changes.
so whats the hot suspension setup on a 90q? =)

happy to at least have another audi [even if its not an s6wagon], and to
