Well, on theory it works, but practically speaking, and IME, 10v motors
always spool turbos more quickly than on the 20v.  The 10v is just moving
more air at say 2k and 2500 rpm than the 20v.  Turbos that respond really
well on the 10v are often real dogs on the 20v.  Interesting to note that the
factory never even put a turbo as big as the K26 on any of the 20v'ers (aside
from the SQ) - I suppose that it could be argued/debated that the RS2 is
"bigger" than the K26, but it K26 IME lags more than an RS2.
