In need of a little critisism, engine racket at high rpms?

Engine, MC-2 new rings, main, and rod bearings, new
lifters. Now at ~3000 miles, runs great, doesn't
sound bad under the noise of the cone filter and 3"
exhaust. I have a knock light hooked up from a Saab
APC system. Something in the engine is triggering the
knock sensor above 4500 rpms on accel and decel. I
can also verify timing is being retarded by my EGT.
Here's what I can come up with...
1. The connecting rod bolts are to stressed from
being installed to many times and are giving way?
Also can you get those out from the bottom, or do you
'have' to have a press?
2. My cam journals are worn, but I doubt it since it
never did this on the previouse motor, I'll have to
measure to make sure.
3. Something is out of balance. I had to replace one
of the connecting rods, advice from the list was, it
shouldn't be a problem.
4. Could worn valve spings cause enough float and make
noise that would trigger the sensor? The stock mc2
cam is in there right now.
I can feel some slight vibration through the clutch
pedal sometimes, but it doesn't seem out of the
ordinary. I can confirm that it is not an exhaust rub
or leak.
Thanks, I'll get this motor perfect someday!
