Why I drive a Q vs an SUV

The scenario: Southbound 2 4 land divided parkway with narrow lanes and
no shoulders
I was alongside an Explorer whom I was letting pass me (entering a
"Traffic Safety Zone" and was already
about 10+ over) when a slew of brake lights showed up around a bend. Not
sure why cars were switching
into the right lane (the one I was in), so I immediately slowed getting
on the Audi binders. No drama,
just dropped some 30 - 35 MPH.
Whoops! Some guy in a Lexus LS400 was in the left lane CREEEEEEPING,
flashers on (probably ran
out of gas while yakking on his cell phone). The Explorer was just past
me, so I braked more to let
him in front of me and flashed to let him in.
ONLY, he couldn't slow enough or something. So as I easily slipped by on
the right, the SUV took off over
the curbing and 4 wheeled it around the Lexus (fortunately, we were, by
this point, only going about 25 or
so, even then the thing lurched.
If he had a car, he simply could've slowed.....
(I don't think, the way the thing lurched, that he was all that excited
about his 4 wheeling "excursion"),
especially how he slow he went when he got back on the highway. I guess
he needed time to check
his shorts, 'cuz he came storming by a couple of minutes later)
