Passanger power window and crank sunroof question

In my experience with Audi window regulators - you have to get a whole new
unit. There was a guy who used to rebuild them but I hear he is not doing
it any more :( I got one for my Coupe Q from Chris at Force 5 Auto - $175
and it works perfectly - had it installed today (tried to do it myself and
broke the passenger window, left it for a COMPETENT mechanic to tackle :) )
I suppose if you are creative with some "aircraft cable" - just some wire
rope, get it at Home Depot, you could implement some sort of repair as long
as the plastic pulley inside the motor is not damaged.
I know this is somewhat cross-generational "knowledge" but I have been
learning (from this list) that some things never change on these things...
Anyway, the regulator is most likely Coupe specific since the windows/doors
have overall different dimensions than the 4000 models - the UrQ and CGT
probably use the same unit. Family Album says they have different part
numbers for CGT vs. 4k but Indeed the CGT and UrQ are the same.
Sorry, no hand cranks around :(
Good luck!
