1. The sunroof crank: Check out http://www.thepartsconnection.com/ they give us list members HUGE discounts on new parts. For used, check out http://www.force5auto.com/index.html .
2. Window regulator: Well, the cables, according to official repair manuals, isn't replaceable. You've have to get a new regulator. New ones are crazy expensive (about $500 from Audi). Good used ones can be had from http://www.force5auto.com/index.html for much less. They are Coupe GT specific due to the size & shape of the glass & door. Although I've never done it, there are instructions for replacing the broken cable at http://www.endosquid.com/audi/aud4kfix_window.htm You might want to give it a try before buying another regulator.
Good luck! May the Audi gods be with you...

Subject: Passanger power window and crank sunroof question
I am going through my 87 Coupe GT fixing everything that needs it and the
passanger power window doesn't work. I took the door panel off and found
that the window regulator was not connected to the door panel anymore, it
was just kinda floating/hanging in the door and one of the 2 wires that
operate the window are broken. Can I get just a new wire somehow or do I
need a whole new assemly? Also, if I need the assemble, does it carry over
to any other cars like the 4000, or is it Coupe GT specific. Also, I need a
sunroof hand crank, light beige, anyone got one lying around for cheap?
Audi wants $44....
Thanks,
Colin
