I'm pretty sure it originally came with R-12.  I believe the industry
switched in the 1994 Model Year to R-134a.  Somebody else may reply with
more certainty.  In any case, R-12 and R-134a systems have different low and
high side ports so you can't mix refrigerants.  Take a look at them to know
for sure.
