I know of an 83 in gold/black sitting for almost 4 years at a repair shop in
PA. A tree fell on it, creasing the roof, bending the drivers door and
blowing out drivers window. I suspect it is now on a salvage title. For the
first two years they wanted to sell it for at least $6000, then the plastic
over the window blew away and it has been taking on water (stupid jerks could
have fixed it in 5 minutes). It was recently moved from the side to the back
of the lot, so I guess it still runs and drives. I was going to try to do a
deal (my 83 CGT could have supplied some bits (door, etc...), but couldn't
catch up with the shop owner. As it is a Porsche/Audi specialist, they may
be planning on a parts or restoration project. Car was still there a month
ago.
