I rounded a cylinder bolt head off once too. After evaluating my situation
I decided that since all of the other bolts were loose, the head of the
stripped bolt was the only thing keeping me from removing the cylinder
head. So I drilled the center of the stripped bolt out and removed its
head. The cylinder head then lifted off and the bolt with the rounded head
came out easily with a pair of vise grips. The hardest part of the entire
process was taking care to keep track of all of the metal shavings so I did
not leave any in the head.
