Need a 5ktq Radiator

I would not worry about the supposed loss in cooling efficiency. I run
all-metal Modines in both of my Type 44's. They both ran cooler than I like
before the Modine radiators and they both still run cooler than I like with
the Modines.
Maybe radiator efficiency is an issue in very warm parts of the country,
but I doubt it. I have yet to see any data that shows the Modine has any
cooling deficiencies.
I agree about the plastic caps _not_ being a concern, though. A new
radiator with plastic endcaps will probably last with your Type 44 longer
than you will.
YMMV,

I wouldn't worry about getting an all metal radiator. Typically they have l=
ess tube and fin area resulting in potentially less cooling efficiency. You=
r rad with plastic caps has lasted 10+ years and a new replacement will lik=
ely last at least another 10..
