98 A4 cd changer error???

I put 2 new cds in the changer (98A4), i turned on the radio and it displays
"cd 02 err"  The changer is not lighting up/functioning at all.  The
connection in the trunk was loose, i unplugged it, checked the pins and
reconnected it.  The radio now displays "cd 00 err".  Now my cd's are stuck
inside and it won't do anything.  I can not find the radio book that came
with the car.

Help is GREATLY appreciated, please respond directly.
