Hmm, I don't know about that, I'd say get the standard first, have the flares in case they fit.  The way it usually is, though, esp. with tough turbo and other engine fasteners, you can barely fit a wrench on two sides of the nut much less all of them.  I can think of a bunch of places that I use the crow foot standard where the flare would be compeltely useless.
