All wheel drive does not engage

The diff locks will fail to engage for 1 of three reasons:

1> Switch contacts are dirty, so they're never commanded to lock. Test the
switch. Solution is clean or replace the switch.


2> Vacuum leak between the solenoid valve that's operated by the switch
and the lock itself. Test for vacuum at the differential locks. Solution
is fix the leak.

3> If you've got vacuum at the differential, the lock is broken. Expensive
problem.

When mine failed the problem was dirty contacts- trivial fix.
